(a) Importance of Protecting Trees

Trees are the most valuable gift of nature to humans. They give us oxygen, food, fruits, shade, and medicines. Trees also help in bringing rain and keeping the air clean. Without trees, life on Earth cannot exist.

Unfortunately, people are cutting down trees for land, wood, and buildings. This is very harmful because it causes soil erosion, less rainfall, and global warming. Animals and birds also lose their homes when forests are destroyed.

Protecting trees is very important. By planting more trees, we can reduce pollution, control climate change, and save water. Schools, communities, and individuals should take part in tree plantation drives. Cutting of trees should be strictly controlled by law.

If we protect trees, we protect life. Saving trees means saving our future generations.

(b) Benefits of Modern Technology

Modern technology has changed the world in amazing ways. Today, machines, computers, mobile phones, and the internet have made life faster and easier.

Technology has improved communication. With mobile phones and video calls, we can talk to anyone in the world in seconds. In education, online classes and digital books help students learn better. In medicine, modern machines help doctors to cure dangerous diseases. Farmers use modern tools to grow more crops. Transport has also become easier with cars, trains, and airplanes.

Technology also saves time and energy. Tasks that once took hours can now be done in minutes with machines.

However, we must use technology wisely. Overuse of mobiles and the internet can harm our health. If used properly, modern technology is a blessing to mankind.

(c) Harmful Effects of Junk Food

Junk food is food that is tasty but unhealthy. Examples are burgers, pizza, chips, noodles, and soft drinks. These foods are high in fat, sugar, and salt, but very low in nutrition.

Eating junk food regularly causes many health problems. It makes children lazy, overweight, and weak. Too much sugar may cause diabetes, and too much oil may cause heart disease. Junk food also reduces our immunity, so we fall sick easily.

Another harmful effect is that junk food creates addiction. Children prefer fast food over healthy food like fruits and vegetables. This spoils eating habits and weakens the body in the long run.

To stay healthy, we should eat home-cooked meals, milk, fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Junk food should be eaten only sometimes, not every day. Health is wealth, and avoiding junk food is the best way to stay fit.

(d) Impact and Prevention of Covid-19

Covid-19 was one of the biggest health crises in the world. It spread quickly across countries and affected millions of people. Schools, offices, and markets were closed for months. Many people lost their jobs and daily life became very difficult.

The impact of Covid-19 was very serious. It caused illness, death, fear, and loneliness. Children missed their schools, and people were forced to stay at home. The economy of many countries also suffered badly.

But Covid-19 also taught us many lessons. It showed us the importance of hygiene, social distancing, and wearing masks. Washing hands, avoiding crowded places, and taking vaccines helped in prevention.

Now the situation is better, but we must not forget the lessons learned. Prevention and care are the best ways to fight any disease in the future.

(e) Importance of Games and Sports

Games and sports are very important in life. They keep our body healthy and strong. Sports teach us discipline, teamwork, and leadership.

By playing games like football, cricket, and hockey, we learn how to cooperate with others. Sports also build confidence and help in developing quick decision-making skills. Indoor games like chess and carrom improve our thinking power.

Apart from physical fitness, sports also reduce stress. After studying, if we play for some time, our mind becomes fresh and active again. That is why every school has sports activities for students.

Sports also create opportunities for a career. Many players represent their country in international matches and make the nation proud.

In short, games and sports are not just for fun, they are necessary for a balanced and successful life.

(f) Impact of Global Warming

Global warming means the rise in Earth’s temperature due to pollution and greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide. It is one of the biggest problems of our time.

The impact of global warming can be seen everywhere. Ice in polar regions is melting, which increases sea levels and causes floods. Many animals are losing their natural homes. Summers are becoming hotter, and rainfall patterns are changing. Farmers suffer because crops fail due to irregular weather.

Global warming also increases the risk of storms, droughts, and forest fires. If this continues, the Earth will become unsafe for future generations.

We can reduce global warming by planting more trees, saving electricity, using public transport, and reducing the use of plastics. Renewable energy like solar and wind should be used instead of coal and petrol.

Protecting Earth from global warming is our duty. A safe future depends on the steps we take today.

(g) Man, Computer and Mobile

In today’s world, man, computer, and mobile are closely connected. Computers and mobiles have become part of our daily life.

Computers help in offices, schools, banks, hospitals, and businesses. They can store data, solve problems, and perform tasks faster than humans. Mobiles make communication easy. We can talk, chat, or video call with people anywhere in the world.

For students, mobiles and computers are useful for online learning, projects, and research. For entertainment, they provide music, movies, and games. They save time and make life more comfortable.

But there are disadvantages too. Overuse of mobiles and computers can harm health, reduce physical activity, and waste time on social media. Children may get addicted to games and lose focus on studies.

Man should use computers and mobiles wisely. If used properly, they are powerful tools that can make life successful and productive.

(h) Importance of English

English is one of the most important languages in the world. It is spoken in many countries and is often called the “global language.”

In education, most books, science, and technology are available in English. Knowing English helps students understand new ideas and knowledge. In jobs, English is required for interviews, communication, and working with people from other countries.

English also helps in travel. When we go abroad, English makes it easy to talk to others. On the internet, most information is in English, so it is necessary for modern life.

In India, people speak many different languages. English works as a link language and unites people from different states. It helps us to grow in education, business, and culture.

Therefore, English is not just a subject, it is a key to success. Every student should try to learn and practice English regularly.

(i) Power of Press in Democracy

The press is called the fourth pillar of democracy. Newspapers, television, and online media inform people about what is happening in the country and the world.

In a democracy, people have the right to know the truth. The press plays an important role by reporting facts, exposing corruption, and showing public problems. It gives voice to common people and brings their issues before the government.

The press also guides public opinion. Through articles and debates, it helps citizens to think wisely and make better decisions, especially during elections.

However, the press must be honest and responsible. Fake news and biased reporting can harm society. A free and fair press is necessary for a healthy democracy.

In short, the press is a strong weapon. It educates, informs, and protects democracy by keeping both the people and the government aware of their duties.

(j) Ways to Promote Reading

Reading is one of the best habits. It increases knowledge, improves language, and develops imagination. But today, many children spend more time on mobiles and less time on books.

To promote reading, schools should have well-stocked libraries. Teachers can encourage students to read storybooks and share reviews in class. Parents should also give children books as gifts instead of only toys or gadgets.

Reading clubs and competitions can make the habit more interesting. Storytelling sessions, book fairs, and reading hours at school are good ways to motivate students.

Students can start with simple books like comics and short stories, then slowly move to novels and informative books. Reading newspapers daily also improves vocabulary and general knowledge.

If more people develop the habit of reading, society will become more educated, thoughtful, and creative. Books are true friends that guide us throughout life.
