(i) Mobile Phones Should Be Banned in Schools for Both Students and Teachers

Good morning respected Principal, teachers and friends,
Today I am going to speak on the topic “Mobile phones should be banned in schools.”

I strongly believe that mobile phones disturb the learning process. Students often use them for games, chatting, and social media instead of studying. This reduces their focus and spoils their results. Many students even use phones to cheat during exams. It also increases problems like cyberbullying and wasting money on data packs.

Teachers also get distracted if they use mobile phones during teaching hours. The classroom should be a place of discipline and learning, not a place where everyone keeps checking their phones.

Some people say that mobile phones are useful for online learning. But schools can provide computers and smart classes for educational purposes. Phones are not necessary inside the school campus.

Therefore, to maintain discipline, to improve concentration, and to make schools real centres of learning, it is better if mobiles are banned for both students and teachers.

Thank you.

(ii) Destruction of the World’s Forests Is Justified by Human Need for Land and Food

Good morning everyone,
Today I want to speak on the topic “Destruction of the world’s forests is justified by human need for land and food.”

I completely disagree with this statement. Forests are called the green lungs of the earth. They give us oxygen, food, wood, medicine, and shelter to animals. They bring rainfall and keep our climate cool. If we destroy forests for land and food, we may satisfy our hunger today but we will destroy our future.

Without forests, there will be no rain, no fertile soil, and no clean air. Humans and animals both will suffer. Cutting down trees in large numbers will cause floods, droughts, and global warming.

Instead of destroying forests, we should use modern farming methods like vertical farming, terrace farming, and hydroponics. We can also use barren lands for crops. By protecting forests, we actually protect ourselves.

So, human needs can never justify forest destruction. Nature is our life. We must save it.

Thank you.

(iii) The Advantages of Recycling Water

Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends,
I am here to speak on the topic “The advantages of recycling water.”

Water is the most precious resource on our planet. Without water, no life can exist. But today we are facing a water crisis because of overuse, pollution, and wastage. Recycling water is the best solution.

When we recycle water, we clean and reuse it for different purposes like farming, gardening, washing, and even for industrial use. This reduces wastage and saves fresh water for drinking. Recycling also helps to control water pollution, because dirty water is treated instead of being thrown into rivers.

Recycled water can be used in cities, factories, and even homes. It saves money, reduces scarcity, and ensures water for the next generation. Countries that recycle water are already solving their water shortage problems.

In short, recycling water protects our environment, saves money, and secures life on earth. We must all support it.

Thank you.

(iv) Honesty Is the Best Policy

Good morning respected Principal sir, teachers and my dear friends,
Today I want to speak on the topic “Honesty is the best policy.”

Honesty means speaking the truth and being fair in all situations. An honest person may face difficulties at first, but in the end, he always wins respect and trust. On the other hand, a dishonest person may enjoy some short-term gain, but he loses people’s faith and is always afraid of being caught.

History gives us many examples. Mahatma Gandhi became the Father of the Nation because of his honesty and truthfulness. Great leaders and saints were respected because they always followed the path of truth. Even in our personal life, honesty helps us to make good friends, build strong relations, and live peacefully without fear.

Dishonesty may look easy, but it never gives real happiness. Therefore, we should always remember that honesty is not only the best policy but also the only policy for a good life.

Thank you.

(v) The Benefits of Having Friends

Good morning respected Principal sir, teachers and my dear friends,
Today I will speak on “The benefits of having friends.”

Friends are one of the greatest gifts of life. A true friend is like a family member who stands with us in every situation. Friends share our joys and sorrows. They make our life happy, colourful, and meaningful.

Having good friends improves our confidence. When we feel sad, our friends cheer us up. When we are wrong, they guide us and bring us back on the right path. With friends, we never feel lonely. Friends also help in studies, sports, and other activities.

Good friends teach us values like love, loyalty, trust, and sacrifice. They are more valuable than money or gold. But we must always choose good and honest friends, because bad company can spoil our life.

So, friends are our real strength. A life without friends is like a garden without flowers.

Thank you.

(vi) Why Books Are Better Than Movies

Good morning respected Principal sir, teachers and my dear friends,
Today I am going to speak on the topic “Why books are better than movies.”

Books are our best friends. They give us knowledge, wisdom, and imagination. When we read a book, we enter a new world created by our own mind. We imagine characters, places, and events in our own way. This develops our creativity and thinking power.

Movies, on the other hand, give us everything ready-made. They show us what to see and what to believe. They hardly leave space for imagination. Also, many movies are made only for entertainment, not for knowledge.

Books are also cheaper, easily available, and can be read again and again. They improve our vocabulary, language, and concentration. Books give us deep knowledge which a two-hour movie can never provide.

Therefore, books are truly better than movies. A book can be a teacher, a guide, and a friend for life.

Thank you.

(iii) The Advantages of Recycling Water

Good morning respected Principal sir, teachers and my dear friends,
Today I will speak on “The Advantages of Recycling Water.”

Water is life. Without water, no living being can survive. But the sad truth is that water on Earth is limited, and many places are already facing shortage. In such a situation, recycling water is very important.

Recycling water means cleaning and reusing used water for different purposes. It has many advantages. First, it saves fresh water. For example, treated water can be used for gardening, cleaning, and even in industries. Second, it reduces pollution, because dirty water is not released into rivers and lakes. Third, it saves money as less water is wasted and more is reused.

By recycling water, we can provide enough water for future generations. Countries like Singapore and Israel have already shown great success in this area. If we adopt this practice, our cities will never face water crisis.

Therefore, recycling water is not just an advantage, it is a necessity. Every school, industry, and home must support it.

Thank you.

(iv) Honesty is the Best Policy

Good morning respected Principal sir, teachers and my dear friends,
I strongly agree with the saying “Honesty is the Best Policy.”

Honesty means speaking the truth and doing the right thing, even when it is difficult. An honest person may face problems at first, but in the long run, honesty always brings respect, trust, and peace of mind. A dishonest person may succeed for some time, but sooner or later, lies are caught, and the person loses everything.

History gives us many examples. Mahatma Gandhi followed honesty and truth, and he became the Father of our Nation. In personal life too, honesty builds strong relationships. Friends and family trust honest people. In school and workplaces, honest students and workers are respected and rewarded.

Even in business, honesty creates loyal customers and long-lasting success. On the other hand, dishonesty may bring temporary profit but leads to failure.

Therefore, honesty is not only a moral value but also a wise policy for a happy and successful life.

Thank you.

(v) The Benefits of Having Friends

Good morning respected Principal sir, teachers and my dear friends,
Today I am going to speak on “The Benefits of Having Friends.”

Friends are one of the greatest gifts of life. They are the people who make us laugh, share our joys, and give us strength in difficult times. Having good friends brings many benefits.

First, friends give emotional support. When we are sad, they listen and encourage us. Second, friends help us in studies, sports, and other activities. A true friend always wants the best for us and never leaves us alone. Third, friends teach us important values like sharing, caring, and teamwork. They also help us to correct our mistakes and improve ourselves.

Friends make our school life and daily life enjoyable. Without them, life would be dull and lonely. But it is also important to choose good friends, because bad friends can misguide us.

So, friends are like a second family. With good friends, life becomes happier and more meaningful.

Thank you.

(vi) Why Books are Better than Movies

Good morning respected Principal sir, teachers and my dear friends,
I stand before you to speak on “Why Books are Better than Movies.”

Books are called the best friends of human beings. They are better than movies for many reasons.

Firstly, books give us complete details of a story. A book explains the feelings, thoughts, and background of characters, while movies often skip many parts because of time limits. Secondly, books improve imagination. When we read, we create pictures in our mind, which makes us more creative. Movies, on the other hand, show ready-made visuals, so our imagination does not grow.

Thirdly, reading books improves language, vocabulary, and concentration. Movies only give entertainment but very little learning. Also, books can be read at our own pace, anytime and anywhere, but movies require screens and fixed time.

Finally, books give us deep knowledge, while movies mostly give quick entertainment. Reading a book is like a journey of the mind, whereas watching a movie is only for a few hours.

So, I believe books are truly better than movies.

Thank you.
